Ocean Boy Farms receives 3-star certification from the Aquaculture Certification Council

Florida’s Ocean Boy Farms was recently rewarded three stars from the Aquaculture Certification Council, a highly respected international association which certifies aquaculture facilities around the world using the highest standards to measure management organizational practices and environmental responsibility. ACC educates the public regarding the benefits provided by the use of aquaculture and the science-based technology underlying its practices.
Conscientious concern for the environment, food safety, including traceability throughout the production chain, and regulatory compliance are areas in which OceanBoy Farms far exceeded the standards set by the ACC. According to the ACC inspector who recently scrutinized OceanBoy Farms' two large facilities (Little Cypress Farm and La Belle Farm, both located in southern Florida), OceanBoy Farms is one of the best organized and best regulated shrimp farms he has ever encountered in his international experience in the shrimp farming industry. OceanBoy Farms also received the ACC Best Aquaculture Practices Logo (BAP) and is allowed to use the designation on its products.
