Mills Rooks plans Jasper County shrimp farm

Oceans Bounty Seafarms plans to open a shrimp farm in Jasper County, about 30 miles outside Beaufort, in South Carolina.

Oceans Bounty chief executive Mills Rooks said he is completing financing this month.

Once funds are raised from venture capitalists, Oceans Bounty will begin building. The shrimp farm will produce Pacific White Shrimp and has plans to produce black tiger shrimp, a very large shrimp.
