NOAA opens $4
million 2006 aquaculture grant competition
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration
(NOAA) has announced that it will award
up to $4 million in competitive grants
in 2006 for demonstration projects and
research targeted to the development
of sustainable marine aquaculture in
the United States.
Coordinated
by the NOAA Aquaculture
Program and NOAA Research, the competition
will consider aquaculture research and
demonstration projects in nearshore, open
water, or terrestrial
environments across a range of scientific
disciplines.
The
deadline for preliminary proposals is Feb
